Art Clay Silver/PMC is an exciting medium that allows the artist to create designs in silver.
The clay is rolled out, cut to shape and then fired. What emerges is a fine silver that constitutes 99.9% purity.
I will guide you through the basics, allowing you to be creative without the pressure of costly mistakes that can be common with a new hobby.
I hold a Level I Art Clay Certificate so I am qualified to teach these techniques to Art Clay Silver Beginners. As the classes are for beginners, no previous experience is needed.

Art Clay Silver Beginners Introductory Class

Covers aspects such as:

Clay conditioning
Storing
Basic clay skills
Pre fire finishing
Firing methods
Syringing
Using patina application

During the class you will make at least two Art Clay Silver/PMC pieces.

Art Clay Silver Class Location

Classes will be held in the comfort of my own home in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Full address details will be supplied upon booking a class.

Number of Places

There is a maximum of 3 students per class or an individual one to one basis.

Class Fees

Price per class is £120, which includes Art Clay Silver Clay/PMC, the use of all other materials and a booklet of notes to take away too.

Sterling earwires for your earrings and a sterling silver chain are included to make your pieces into finished jewellery.

What should you bring with you?

The only thing you need to bring a packed lunch. Tea & coffee will be provided.

Hello and welcome to the Jules Harper Art Clay/PMC Workshops site. If you are new to the medium of silver clay and you would like to be taught of it’s magical properties, you want to make jewellery and you love tinkering, then you are in the right place!

I invite you to have a look around at the various information tabs at the top of the screen to get to know what it’s all about. Please feel free to contact me if you need any more clarification, more details or just want to talk to a person instead of reading.

I have put up new workshops ranging from Enamelling onto Silver and Copper Clay, Ring Making, Copper Clay and Leaf Making. Glass Fusing/Setting glass in Silver will be coming soon.. All very exciting! Keep popping back for updates.
