Art Clay Silver/ PMC is an exciting medium that allows the artist to create designs in pure fine silver. The clay is rolled out, cut to shape and then fired. What emerges is a fine silver that constitutes 99.9% purity. I will guide you through the basics, allowing you to be creative without the pressure of costly mistakes that can be common with a new hobby.

I hold a Level I Art Clay Certificate so I am qualified to teach these techniques to Art Clay Silver Beginners. As the classes are for beginners, no previous experience is needed.

We will cover aspects including:

  • Basic clay skills – rolling, cutting, texture, gemstone setting etc..
  • Pre fire finishing
  • Firing methods
  • Syringing
  • Using patina application

During the class you will make at least two Art Clay Silver/ PMC pieces. I will provide sterling silver findings and chain to complete the designs.

(Please note the image above is not illustrative of pieces you will be making on the day)
